Vimla was born in April 1961 in the village of Mehandi, which is located in the Jaunpur district of eastern Uttar Pradesh, India. She is a housewife and her husband, Girija, is a laborer working for $3.50 per day. They have no children.
Vimla started feeling very week after she turned 50. Her feet started swelling and her eyesight started getting weaker. She traveled to the JSM Health Clinic and was diagnosed with diabetes at the JSM Clinic. She has been receiving treatment at the Clinic since December 2009 and has been educated about the causes of diabetes. She now knows how she should rearrange her life, particularly diet and exercise, to better manage her situation. When told what she should eat during each meal, she gave a sad smile and said she eats whatever she manages to get on that day.
Your generous donation will provide Vimala with much needed medications for a period of 12 months. She is appreciative and thankful to you, Anmol, for your generosity.
