Mahendra Gautam is only 40 years old, but looks many years older than he is, because of the toll that an attack of Tuberculosis has taken on him. He hails from the village of Lorika Jamalpur, in the Jaunpur district, of eastern Uttar Pradesh. His father, Munnar Gautam, died of Tuberculosis.
Mahendra and his wife are both laborers working with road construction projects. They break stones that are used under the pavement. They have 6 children. Mahendra started receiving treatment for Tuberculosis at the JSM Clinic from December 2009. He has shown steady improvement ever since.
Your generous donation, Tracy, will provide Mahendra with much needed medications for a period of 12 months. He is appreciative and thankful to you for that.
