Pinki is barely 10 years old, but she does not smile or giggle like other kids of her age. She is a 3rd grader who does not participate in school sports and social programs. Tuberculosis has already taken a heavy toll on her.
Pinki’s father, Ajay, is unemployed and her mother is a housewife. She was born in the village of Madhopatti Tedhwa in the Jaunpur district of eastern Uttar Pradesh in India.
Pinki has a mild demeanor and a voice that betrays the pain inside. She has just started receiving treatment at the JSM Clinic during the month of December 2011.
Your generous donation, Julia, will provide her with much needed medications to Pinki for a period of 12 months. She is appreciative and thankful to you for that.
