Seventeen year old Nisha is majoring in Commerce at the JS Girls’ Intermediate College in the village of Shiwpur in eastern Uttar Pradesh in India.
Her father, Yogesh, comes from the nearby village of Gahani Siura and has a very small farm where he grows wheat for living. Her mother, Meenai, is a house wife. Nisha lives in her small home with her parents, her gandfather, grandmother (Kusum), two sisters, two brothers and her maternal grand mother (Champa).
Nisha loves to read books about the religions and cultures of the world. She is very bright and on graduation wants to appear for the exams so she can join the Indian Administrative Services. Nisha has a strong social conscience, and hopes that by joining the civil services, she will be able to bring about a change in the status of women in her part of the country.
Your donations of a month of tuition each, Lara (x3), Elyse, Christine (x2), Sandra (x5) and Stacy, will ensure that Nisha is able to attend school for an entire year. She is thankful to you for your donation, which will go a long way in helping her realize her dreams.
