Kavita Viswakarma overcomes all odds to go to college

Meet Kavita Viswakarma.  Kavita graduated from the JSM Girls’ Intermediate College.  She stood first Division in the Uttar Pradesh Board Examinations and scored 70% over all.

Kavita has enrolled in the Malti Singh Degree College in Ambarpur and is pursuing a BS Degree in Arts.  Her electives are English, Ancient History and Education.  It will take her three years to complete her degree.  With her sharp intellect, she has unlimited potentioal if she is given opportunity.

She comes from the village of Rakhawa in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh.  Her father Jaldhar recently passed away.  Her mother Shanti is uneducated.  She has nine brothers and sisters.  Kavita also works as a part-time elementary school teacher to help support her family.  From this part of the world other girls like Kavita typically do not get past the middle school.  Kavita is ready to break the mold.

You have enabled her to pay for her college tuition, text books and board fee for one year and for that Kavita is very thankful to you.

Dolly is on her way to college

Meet Dolly Singh.  Dolly graduated from the JSM Girls’ Intermediate College in 2011.  She stood first Division in the Uttar Pradesh Board Examinations and scored 72% over all.

Dolly has enrolled in the Post graduate Degree College in the nearby town of Mariahu and is pursuing a BS Degree in Arts.  Her electives are Hindi (language), Social Sciences and Education.  It will take her three years to complete her degree.  With her sharp intellect, she has unlimited potentioal if she is given opportunity.

She comes from the village of Belwa in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh.  She has four brothers and sisters.  From this part of the world other girls like Dolly typically do not get past the middle school.  Dolly is ready to break the mold.

Funni has been suffering with Asthma for a long time

Meet Funni Lal Yadav. Funni Lal was born in 1950 in the village Belwa in the Jaunpur district of eastern Uttar Pradesh in India.  He is a Farmer. His wife Hiravati Devi died a few years back.  He has three children: Rajendra, Jeetendra and Ravundra.

Funni Lal has been suffering with chronic asthma for a long time.  He got it from inhaling the smoke in his little house from the fire he lit to keep himself and his family warm.  He has been under treatment at JSM Medical Clinic since January 22, 2012. The prescription medicines and inhalers have improved his health dramatically.

Your generous donation will provide him with much needed medications for a period of 12 months.  He is appreciative and thankful to you for that.

Meet Bhola Nath Yadav. Bhola Nath was born in 1942 in the village of Bharthani Kailawar in the Jaunpur district of eastern Uttar Pradesh in India.  He is unemployed.  His wife does household chores at other homes to make living.  He has one son Shyam Bihari Yadav. He is a driver.

Bhola Nath has been suffering with chronic asthma for many years.  He has been under treatment at JSM Medical Clinic since April 08, 2009.  The prescription medicines and inhalers have improved his health dramatically. He is hopeful to find some meaningful employment in the near future.

Meera Yadav loves listening to music in her spare time

Meera was born in 1994.  She is the senior in the JS Girls’ Intermediate College in the village of Shiwpur in eastern Uttar Pradesh in India, where she is majoring in Arts.

Her father, Ramjanak, is a part time driver and her mother, Rekha Devi, runs a genral store in her house. She comes from the village of Shivpur. Meera lives with her parents, her grandmother, Muniraji, her sister Pinki and two brothers, Anil and Jaihind. Her grandmother is very old and she stays in bed most of the time.

Meera loves listening to music, and is particularly fond of Bollywood songs, and folk music.  She eventually plans to be a Teacher.

Lalita dreams of becoming a beautician

Her father, Kalpnath is a farmer and her mother Gyanti is a housewife . They live in the village of Shivpur in the Jaunpur District of eastern U.P. She has two brothers – Sanny and Abhishek. Her grandparents Gauri Shankar and Maina Devi also live with her.

Her hobbies are to watch cricket matches, and she loves to play the game, if she finds an opportunity to play. She wants to join a Beautician Training Center after graduation, so she can open her own beauty parlour.
